Makerfield by-election
I have to say, I do not appreciate Rupert coming up here and pissing in my back yard! (Makerfield is just up the road from me).
I get the left doing tactical voting. I get the Tories doing tactical voting, it’s political, but Rupert using his sheep-like rabble-rousers to campaign for a seat he had ZERO interest in during the locals, no!
This is not about the seat, this, I and MANY others believe, is just Rupert Lowe causing trouble out of malice and with revenge in mind. He wants to piss on Farage’s parade. He doesn’t care about the cost, his brainless followers, his useful fool of a candidate, all he wants to do is hurt ReformUK. And if the country pays the price, he won’t care. He’ll tell you, “I don’t care.” But it’s all about him getting back at Reform for booting him out. Ego before party, before country. That’s all it is, in my opinion!
A more honourable person would back out, take one for the team to try and stop Burnham getting into #10. Rupert Lowe will gleefully hand Andy the keys and call it a great day. Just watch his posts after the results are called. You’ll see!
By the numbers
Even if Lowe and Restore did the decent thing it would still be too close to call. Certainly it would send the bookies scrabbling, but still give the edge to Labour.
But they won’t.
Rupert Lowe absolutely won’t, he’s all about his ego and getting back at Farage. Nothing else seems to matter, I feel.
His candidate probably won’t either and I suspect she’ll regret it ‘cos returning to her business when she’s just given the keys to #10 to Burnham, not going to be popular with half the town!
I won’t bother with links and screenshots, but he’s a few odds:
Polymarket: 1st: Labout (75%), 2nd: ReformUK (26%), 3rd: Restore, 4% (losing deposit)
Boyle sports: 1st Labour (2/7 favourite, 77.8%), 2nd: ReformUK (3/1, 25%), 3rd: Restore (14/1 longshot, 6.7%)
Paddy Power: 1st Labour: (2/7 favourite), 2nd: ReformUK (11/4), 3rd: Restore (18/1 longshot)
…
Bet365: Labour (1/6 favourite), Reform (7/2), Restore (20/1 longshot)
BetFred: 1/4, 7/2, 16/1
AK Bets: 1/4, 7/2, 25/1
Regular polling:
Pollcheck: Labour (48.4%), Reform (39.2%), Restore (7.8%)
Survation: Labour (49%), Reform (39%), Restore (8%)
You get the idea. As Captain America would say, “I can do this all day”
A VOTE FOR RESTORE IS A VOTE A LABOUR!
Mockumentary of fictitious Restore party conference
Deluding his sheep that he’s going to get a “historic” win in #Makerfield, and ignoring over 200 Labour MPs camped in the small town, all fighting to get Andy elected., and ignoring every poll and bookie putting Restore very firmly in third place (and possibly losing the deposit), Rupert Lowe’s was holding his own party conference…
Press were hardly baffled to find the room empty as Restore has no other MPs to back him, what with him being a solo act and all, and they found the event, at best, amusing, but mostly just pathetic.

In the back of the room, in a dusty corner, Rupert Lowe was dancing round an old photo of himself in Reform UK’s colours.
He seemed oblivious to huge chip on his shoulder and was snarling along to Lesley Gore’s hit single…

Seeing the press laughing at him, he stormed off, saying, “I’ll show them, I’ll show them all. I don’t care! Nobody puts baby in the corner!”
The press 👇 “No story here just some sad, bitter old man! Hey! We could do a piece of betrayal though!”
