Does Rupert Lowe, and others, actions in Makerfield amount to ballot rigging?
This post was inspired by a Breaking Brexit News post on Facebook suggesting that Lowe refuses to censor members with extreme views
I would argue it is more than that, he actively, consciously or – perhaps – unconsciously fosters it.
I’ve not done a tally, so this is just my impression, but if you follow Rupert Lowe, the number of negative and angry, finger-pointing, “I’m the injured party here” posts against Farage, against Reform UK, against individual MPs in their party is telling. It is a vendetta!
Here’s the thing, and I get it, ‘cos I’m one of them, he attracts a LOT of angry followers. But without a focused, intellectual or positive and creative outlet for that anger, that deep-seated hate and frustration, you are going to lash out blindly – unless someone paints you a target.
Starmer does EXACTLY the same with “the far right” bogeyman and lefty activists, poisoned with the woke mind virus. As do a great many other parties, groups, NGOs, Quangos and so-called charities on the left (Looking at you, Hope Not Hate).
Lowe, with his seemingly incessant anti-Reform rhetoric is actively telling his activists to share his hatred of ReformUK. He’s on record saying something to the effect of, “My anger with them is taking me to a dark place, to do things I wouldn’t normally do.”
The exact quote, made to the Times, is below:
“I’ve been irritated and angered by what they did, because it was morally, and in every other way, wrong. And so, therefore, I’ve got my tail up now, because I’m irritated, and I’m angry, and when you’re angry, you do things that you wouldn’t otherwise do.”
At this point even America’s CNN are looking on and asking Why 0.1% of Britons could determine the prime minister’s fate
Lowe’s louts
All parties, to a lesser or greater extent, either attract or actively involve dissidents and chaos agents. This ranges from the mundane mocking and trolling of the opposing side (left to left, left to right, right to right, right to left) to more aggressive activities, such as those Restore Britain’s activists are allegedly up to, which may border on ballot rigging.
This, of course, goes all the way to more sectarian methods (*cough religion of peace*), such as telling a candidate to drop out (“or we’ll burn your house down with you and your family in it”)
Hence new laws, rules etc, such as the 2026 research briefing on Intimidation of candidates and voters
There is a long list of related offences, which can have harsh penalties (that almost never get applied). These include, but are not limited to:
Impersonation
Postal/Proxy Vote Abuse
Ballot Stuffing and Misrecording
Undue Influence and Intimidation: Using force, threats, violence, or “spiritual pressure” to interfere with a person’s right to vote freely.
Bribery and Treating: Providing money, gifts, jobs, food, or entertainment to corruptly influence a voter’s decision
Are Labour also guilty of electoral fraud!?
Arguably, if you got creative, I strongly suspect Josh Simmons offering his seat to Andy Burnham and resigning to give the latter a free run at #10 counts as Bribery and treating – as electoral fraud.
Forgetting for a moment whatever money, gifts, jobs, food, or entertainment Josh Simmons may have been offered in return for his £100,000 a year (plus perks) job, there was and is a clear attempt to “corruptly influence a voter’s decision”.
i.e. The only candidate with a chance to beat ReformUK in that seat was Andy Burnham. (No, NOT Restore, get real!). Any other candidate would be languishing around 20% or less. This was not done to get Burnham a seat in a backwater northern town, it was to parachute him into #10, ousting Keir Starmer.
QED: Labour, Simmons, Burnham and others conspired to “corruptly influence voters decisions”
I’ve seen a lot of people also question Burnham’s campaign strategy – which it to NOT overtly mention the Labour party as it will – yep – corruptly influence voters decisions.
Well, I guess the whole Labour and Starmer is a wanker, Starmer the Farmer Harmer, Starmer the granny harmer, and all the rest (before you even get to Reeves and Mad Ed Balls), all bit of a vote killer.
It’s funny how they always say “you vote for the candidate, not the party” – when it suits them. But the number (and names) of the candidates decides who runs the country – and who doesn’t.
Undue Influence and Intimidation: Vorderman etc
Here’s were it getting interesting. When you look at, for instance, tearing down and defacing your opponents billboards, stealing, defacing, or destroying your opponents party political leaflet…
While interfering with valid electoral leaflets or campaign material does not legally constitute ballot rigging, it is still illegal as it comes under criminal damage.
Doesn’t seem to happen if ReformUK’s banners and posters are torn down or defaced, but let one of Labour’s Andy Burnham get editted, Manchester Evening News and police are quickly investigating. At this point everything in the UK is two tier!

Or, as Carol Vorderman did, contacting press and – directly – a large numbers of female voters as a “celebrity influencer” to tell them the ReformUK candidate, Rob Kenyon is a vile misogynist who, over a decade ago, liked a saucy comment about her. So obviously, don’t vote for him, ladies.
Carol Vorderman sent the letter to over 6,000 female voters in the Makerfield constituency ahead of the by-election, urging them to reject Reform UK candidate Rob Kenyon due to resurfaced lewd and sexist social media posts.
Apparently she was working with lefty organisation Hope Not Hate, which I believe also counts as a further count of ballot interference. And possibly more 🙄
Illegally accessing voters’ names and addresses from the electoral register is classified under specific offences depending on how the access was obtained and used:
Unauthorised Purpose Offence: Under UK electoral law, it is a criminal offence to use the full electoral register for an unauthorised purpose, or to pass it on to anyone else.
So that’s all least three potential counts of electoral fraud and ballot rigging against Ms Vorderman and her co-conspirators.
Hypocritically this probably relates to Vorderman very publicly, and in a self-promoting way (i.e to get likes) stuck her arse out to be appreciated by the lads (and ladies) for Rear of the Year, winning it in 2011 and 2014. You can’t have it both ways, Carol.
Though many of the celebrity opinions in the post suggest she should just act her age, one of the experts said this to Huffington Post
“I think it’s great that nowadays older women are being appreciated and also viewed as sexual beings. It proves that a mature woman today can be just as attractive as a women half her age.
Carol is dignified, and highly intelligent, but also being sassy, sexy and good fun is a bonus.”
Vorderman’s reply was: “I am both surprised and flattered to win the award for a second time – particularly at this stage of my life,”
She apparently followed this ‘class act’ in following years by appearing barely clothed on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, getting photographed topless bathing, and sharing on yet another show how she fell off her treadmill – fully naked, arse over tits as it were, LOL. Her LOL, as she shared it, ‘cos of course she did, for the attention.
Google AI: “Carol Vorderman famously recounted a hilarious and painful accident where she suffered friction burns after falling off a treadmill while working out naked. She originally shared the story on social media, but it resurfaced when she appeared on The Masked Singer”
This is the same woman that openly supported Labour (now independent) MP Dan Norris – until he was arrested and investigated for historic child sex offences. So off she trots to the Green.
All that that she’s putting out, bearing in mind she’s a pensioner now, but she’s “offended” at a young lad liking a tweet 15 years ago, that was seen – and forgotten by all of 16 people?
I thought you were supposed to be intelligent, Carol. Surely you should be angry instead at the activists that did a crazy deep dive on Rob to find something, anything to use as a potential political smear. And you are no better, leaping on it. Anything for attention. As I recall, you were the same in your early Mensa party days. You did like to pose for the camera! When was that Cambridge AGM, ’80? ’82? Long time ago, eh. Ho hum!
Undue Influence and Intimidation and Restore Britain
However, Electoral Law (Undue Influence) Under the UK’s Representation of the People Act, manipulating or suppressing campaign material can intersect with electoral fraud if it crosses into voter deception or intimidation.
e.g. Deceive voters regarding the administration of the election, which, it may be argued, Restore Britain did when they set up their stalls and tables outside ReformUk’s Makerfield office, thus either intimidating or misdirecting voters away from the candidate’s office.
While I can’t confirm, and both sides have made the same allegation, particularly calling out Restore, with some of the door to door canvassing allegedly crossing the line into open hostility if voters “won’t see sense and vote the right way”.
Note that this is based on local (and not remotely local) comments, I’ve yet to see or hear of doorcam footage supporting this, from, by or against any side claiming it.
If true I would hope the police take such claims from residents seriously, regardless of which party they are from. (Resident, not online bots and trolls!)
…
Lowe has 1.3m followers. Statistically, that will include around 52,000 sociopaths*. This is true for all parties, but really, you are most likely to encounter an actual psychopaths in prisons – or in corporate boardroom and the like(!).
However, if you are actively encouraging the angriest, most politically disenfranchised people, the most fascist, alongside white supremacist activists to follow you, well, the number is likely to go up sharply.
As you may well have seen, whenever he crosses lines and the media react, he revels in the notoriety, shares it, tells all his followers how “they are after me”, “they are terrified of me”. His shout is always the same, “They can come for me, I’m ready, I don’t care”, a response many of his follower seems to relish: “I don’t care!” So, anarchists.
(You’re an ex banker, now MP, not some Mafia don, you plonker!)
*(Percentages for ASPD vary and not all studies agree, but it’s around 4%, with gender and age being a factor, and younger men (20-40) being largest group.)
This is evidenced further with a number of Lowe’s louts (as I call them) attentively targeting ReformUK in #Makerfield, allegedly.
Not Labour, not the Tories, not the Green or Lib Dems, or another of the other parties. JUST Reform UK
The iPaper reported how Restore were turning on ReformUk and boasted “We’d go to war for Rupert Lowe“.
Not that I have a shred of respect for them, quite the opposite, but even Hope Not Hate call some of Restore’s Makerfield activists Neo-nazi fascists, with deeply worrying affiliations.
A bit more upmarket, the Observer calls Restore the new home for fascists and points to known white supremacist trotting alongside Lowe’s candidate, Rebecca Shepherd.
I’ve seen some of the photos and videos, shared a few of these potentially ballot-rigging intimation tactics. Like them setting up camp outside ReformUK’s local office.
Restore Britain campaigners are camped outside a Reform UK office, and the obvious question is why.
If they are meant to be on the right, why are they not outside Labour, the Lib Dems or the Greens, who sound far closer to what they actually stand against. apparently ?
/Reddit Restore Britain activists now blocking the Reform bus in the middle of a road and harassing the bus driver. Allegedly, of course, but yes. Others, including June Slater commented and shared this.

Here’s Google AI’s flaky take:
“Intimidation on the Ground:
During local campaigning in the area, Reform canvassers reported being swarmed and filmed by a large group of “Restore Britain agitators” who provoked responses, making workers feel genuinely unsafe.”(Search term used: Restore followers intimidation ReformUK in Makerfield)
Google links this to Jack Dart’s (Reform Watch) Facebook post
The irony?
Google AI took the quote from Reform Watch, a lefty political business set up (possibly the one set up by Lib Dems Ed Davey) to follow, monitor, track and essentially dig dirt on ReformUK and – again with the ballot rigging – to (here) target women and warn them about Rob and his like of a risky tweet (see Carol Vorderman, above).
Restore Britain’s louts: “The enemy of my enemy is my enemy too!”
Reform Watch: “Umm, the quote is ‘the enemy of my enemy is my friend’, we’re on the same side, Bro”
Restore Britain’s louts: “No, we’re not, ‘bro'”
(Hmm, where have I heard that before. Oh right… Telling.)
Perhaps Lowe needs to attract more intelligent louts 😏
For Rupert lowe, this isn’t about winning a seat, it’s about Lowe getting an army of activists to stop ReformUK, and if that gives us a Burnham led Labour government, he’s fine and dandy with that, because they got his back up, so if he has to punish the entire country just to do so, he’ll grin at his petty revenge and say, as he so often does, “I don’t care”, (mentally adding, “I got a hit in at Farage and that’s all I care about).
Don’t get me wrong, the tit-for-tat drama does not paint a pretty picture for either side, but Rupert Lowe’s is openly coming out as angry, vengeful, vindictive and willing to cross lines he wouldn’t normally cross to get back at Farage for kicking him out of their party. Ben Habib is similarly bitter, but – to me and may others – Lowe is up there with “bitter, angry ex meets John Wicks – after they killed his dog.”
(Except, it was Lowe that shot his own dog, Cornwall. (It was old, so he “put it out it’s misery”). Something which Lowe brought up this week and shared with his 1.3m followers, after someone in Reform commented on it a year ago or something – and the Mail dragged up again, ‘cos why not stir shit.)
Riling up the troops were you, Rupert Lowe? Didn’t entirely work so well, but I guess enough bit, and that was your intent. For them to share in, to embrace your anger, your hatred of ReformUK
Asking the British, dog-loving public, which is worst:
“I shot my dog, ‘cos he was old and sick”
“Someone said hurty words about me shooting my dog”.
He wailed about the loss of his beloved dog, and how Reform disagreed with his method, but, see, humane is taking him to the vet, but I guess a bullet is cheaper. #JustSaying.
With this I am reminded of another of Rupert Lowe’s many, many anti-Reform tirades, one where he whined that they [the police] “even took my guns”.
As Lowe’s likes to say, constantly, “I don’t care.”
ReformUK booted you out for a reason, several reasons, only one of which involved the police. You weren’t cleared, the police just dropped the case due to insufficient evidence.
Here’s the thing, Rupert, if you are reading this, as I’ve commented to you on your page, if ReformUK really lied, if they defamed you, then sue. But you didn’t, instead you hugged your burning anger like a pacifying dummy and raged over Facebook and any of the MSM that will listen.
Then you brought your anger and your suitably agitated and agitative activists to play out this pathetic drama to Makerfield! To the bitter end. No matter what.
I have to say, again, I do not appreciate you pissing in my back yard, mate!
NOTING that Rupert Lowe and his one-man party you have no interest or local council candidate in Makerfields, in neighbouring towns like St Helens. NONE. Neither are you are not contesting a Tory seat in Scotland, in the Arbroath and Broughty Ferry constituency by-election. Why is that?
You keep posting and boasting about how you – YOU – are going to make the Makerfield by election “historic”. You don’t say how. Historic rarely means good, the Wright plane was historic, but arguably so was Pearl Harbour, 9/11 and many other atrocities.
You also keep posting grandstanding rhetoric about when your government is in charge (you’re missing 325 MPS, mate) you’ll get rid of every last migrant.
Proper sabre-rattling anti-Muslim stuff. Rally the troops, Jeeves, we’re going to win the next general election on this!
Lowe also misinforms (lies to) his followers, when it suits the narrative! Now, in all his posts on the matter (in contradiction to reality), Lowe repeatedly tells his sycophantic sheep that’s he is not splitting the vote in Makerfield.
Conservative Post on X called him out for this, asking, “Has Rupert Lowe changed his mind on splitting the vote?
In his own words: “Every leaflet you deliver is a leaflet for the Labour candidate.
So what changed?
Why do so many politicians say one thing when it’s convenient, then do the exact opposite when the opportunity arises?”
Funny how he opposes vote splitting and getting a Labour MP on his lawn in Great Yarmouth, but when it’s my back garden, him and his goons are happy to metaphorically and possibly literally piss up every wall to mark “their” territory. Get your sorry arses back south!

Side note, though you did share about your son’s wedding, Rupert, you were less open about him marrying a foreign Muslim (Yasmin Mezran) and enjoying the halal wedding feast. You also kinda of missed out on the facts about her wealthy father, Karim Mezran, Libyan academic, who is now part of your family.
You may wonder why would that matter. Well, I’ll let you Google that one, but Karim Mezran, is a senior fellow at the Washington, DC-based Rafik Hariri Center for the Middle East. And his core work is the rejection of “Fortress Europe” and the promotion of more safe routes and more mass migration from Africa and the Middle East into Europe and the UK. (And presumably every other non Muslim country!)
I am forced to wonder how you define “historic”? To deliberately derail (and if necessary ballot rig?) a by election to get Andy Burnham into #10, just so you can stick two fingers up at Farage – and also the entire country and politic system?
It is all also making me wonder what else might be promised for such a hypothetical dirty deed. A knighthood, a peerage, both? This thought applies as much to Simmons as Lowe!
Finishing on the ‘celebrity’ offended on demand group
Vorderman meanwhile, I guess, just wants more people to stare at her ageing, saggy arse and for the MSM pundits to tell her she’s still beautiful – so they can get more publicly for being “offended” at these dirty young men.
(Christ’s sake, Carol, you are 65 now, going on pensioner! Act like it! Your peers were telling you that over a decade ago!)
